great price for big sheets of 1 inch minicell. Even though I only needed one (for now), ordered two on account of the shipping cost.

I have ordered the 72″ x 60″ x ½” 2lbs Minicell Foam to fit in my canoe hull as a protective mat for my knees and feet as I move around in the boat. It is easy to cut to size and I was able to fit it perfectly to cover the bottom of the hull from one gunwale to the other. It molds the rounded shape of the canoe and does not warp. The thickness is perfect for knee comfort; I do not feel the ribs of my wooden canoe at all. It is very lightweight and does not absorb water.
The only thing is that I ordered from Canada and had a sizable import fee to pay through UPS. Next time I think I’ll have it delivered somewhere I plan to visit in the US.
Great product, perfect for my need. And the exchanges with the staff were all very kind. They even sent me a refund for the extra shipping costs charged initially.

3/4″ 2lb minicell was used to create a wedge (multiple small stacked strips) that was placed under my mattress at the knees to give elevation to reduce back discomfort. It worked great for this project as the foam does not compress as others do. To reduce the shipping cost I had the 72″ x 60″ sheet cut in half (two 36″ x 60″). My only complaint was that it was apparently cut using a hot wire or similar process that caused the cut edge to be hard. I ended up cutting off (wasting) about half an inch of the cut length to remove the hard edge. TO make my pieces I used a sharp carving knife from my kitchen and had little trouble cutting the foam cleanly and accurately. Shipping was reasonable and communication was prompt and professional, I highly recommend this company!
